Today, we’re thrilled to further announce our partnership with The Huggard as our Charity of the Year for 2024. This partnership holds special significance as we’ve just moved into our new offices in the heart of Cardiff on Womanby Street, allowing us to engage even more with our wonderful community.
On this World Homeless Day, we’re excited to launch the brand-new The Huggard website, developed by our fantastic team at activ Marketing and supported free of charge for the next 12 months. We know that homelessness is a pressing issue, with nearly 2,000 individuals affected in Wales and around 300,000 across the UK. This reality hits home, especially given that homelessness can happen to anyone—often with just a few decisions.
Our CEO, Katie Bullon, a proud Cardiff native, shares her passion for this cause:
“When we met The Huggard team earlier this year, their message resonated deeply: homelessness can happen to anyone. This is particularly concerning in today’s economic climate, where rising living costs put pressure on many households. I’m proud to have brought activ HQ back to Wales after acquiring the national franchise in January 2021. It’s essential for us to use our resources to support our community.”
The newly launched website will provide The Huggard with a vital platform to connect with those in need and the wider community. It will feature a directory of services, information on how to access support, and opportunities for the public to get involved through volunteering or donations.
